The current focus of our business in Alaska is advancement of the Pikka Phase 1 project, the most significant development on Alaska's North Slope in more than 20 years. We're working to deliver Pikka Phase 1, one of the lowest-cost and lowest unabated emissions intensity new oil projects globally. We're on track to deliver first oil in 2026. Pikka Phase 1 includes a single drill site, an oil processing facility, and other infrastructure to support production of 80,000 barrels of oil per day.
Santos currently employs more than 150 people in Alaska, and we're growing. Pikka Phase 1 is expected to create more than 500 direct and contract jobs.
